Learn to Draw at Helen Casey Artist Studio 251

Most people would love to be able to draw what they see but believe that being able to draw well is only for the lucky few 'gifted' with inborn talent. In fact drawing ability is dependant on learning to 'see', resultant of many hours of practice.

The ability to express oneself artistically comes from having learnt basic perceptual skills which develop from being willing to make lots of mistakes and learning from them.

My lessons equip students of all ages with greater drawing skills which allow progress in tertiary studies toward disciplines such as graphic design, architecture and fine arts. I focus on certain time tested exercises and practices that train the hand and eye to work together in order to see things 'as they are' so as to be able to draw realistically using line and tone.

Lessons are held at Helen Casey Artist Studio 251 on Tinakori Road.
